Nicole Dierkes is a Northern Virginia native who received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University and her Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University. While at Marymount, Nicole conducted research on the use of blood flow restriction therapy after an OAT procedure (knee surgery). In addition, she helped to implement an evidenced-based balance training protocol in older adults with dementia as a research assistant. She presented the outcomes during the Virginia Physical Therapy Association Fall Summit. Nicole enjoys working with patients of all ages to help individuals reach their goals and beyond. She especially likes working with patients in the sports population as well as those with neurological diagnosis such as stroke. In her free time, Nicole enjoys running, working out and plays soccer on a co-ed recreational team. She is an avid sports fan who loves spending time with her family and friends.
